The beginning of a new year brings with it the perfect opportunity for a new start.
We reflect, make resolutions and look forward with renewed resolve and energy. It's a hopeful, exciting time! What will the new year bring? How will we make our lives better, more comfortable, happier?
This year, as part of your new year reflection, resolve to approach your home and your mind with equal clarity.
Clean Up and Clean Out
Literally and emotionally. Rid yourself of the clutter in your life and your mind. Clean out your pantry, your linen closet, your drawers. Let go of unnecessary stress, angst and worry. Resolve to live in a clean, peaceful space in your home and enjoy the resulting peace in your being.
Take a good, hard look around with a discerning eye. If you don't need it, want it, or enjoy it any longer, be done with it. If it's not a meaningful part of your life, you won't miss it. Open yourself and your living space up to something new!
Consider A Change
Ask yourself what will add to the quality of your life and do something about it.
- Love to cook? Enroll in a cooking class, upgrade your cooking tools, or re-imagine your kitchen in a beautiful new way.
- Missing your friends? Definitively plan a getaway or a day together to talk, laugh and reconnect.
- If a good book is your therapy, convert a forgotten space into a book nook with a fabulous chair and warm, soft throw.
- Are you resolving to get better rest this year? Invest in your sleep experience with a new mattress and luxurious bedding (we can help you with that!).
There are so many ways to look at the new year in a new way. So do it. Make 2015 your best year yet.
