At Home with Abbe Fenimore of Studio Ten 25

Now that fall has arrived and the warmer summer temperatures are beginning to cool down a bit, it’s time to start thinking about updating your home for the new season. Making small changes throughout your home without completely redecorating can be easily accomplished.

Peacock Alley has been my go-to resource for linens and bedding when working with our Studio Ten 25 clients.

Bedroom in white and silver with wood accents

We always start with great basics and layer the bed with a mix of texture using coverlets, shams and throws. This allows our clients the flexibility to update their color palette easily. I use the same mix of great basics and fun textures in my own home.

Our bedroom is one of the first rooms that I like to start with when making changes each season. Our summer basics consist of lightweight fabrics in crisp shades of white, grey and turquoise but now that I want to create a more cozy feel for fall. Layering is key since we like to keep our home chilly at night.

Distressed linen shams in white and tan with frayed edges

This fall, I wanted to mix in a few of Peacock Alley’s newest linen pieces.

The Braga collection is perfect for our lifestyle and the frayed edges bring in the casual and cozy feel that I am after.

First, replaced our lightweight Napa flint grey coverlet with the crisp white Montauk coverlet. The Montauk coverlet is a bit heavier than the Napa and the crisp white pattern compliments the warmer natural linen.

I threw in the Braga linen king shams too; the frayed flange looks perfect layered against our velvet euro shams. The Braga king blanket will layer easily over our down comforter and it provides just enough warmth when we need something lightweight to cover up with.

Before and after shots of pillow sham changes Abbe's bed refreshed with layering pieces to reflect the change to fall A pointer with a red collar lies on the bed

A Mongolian fur lumbar mixed with a sequin skull accent pillow change things up without adding too many pillows. Of course I didn’t stop at the bedding, I had to change out a few of the throw pillows and lamps too.

The amber agate Glamazon lamps from our online boutique,, work perfectly with the natural linen and instantly pulled the warmer color palette together. And since I love bold color, the Aqua Cape Town Mohair throw was a must! Throw blankets are the easiest way to bring in color with out going overboard. I love to keep our bedroom color palette soothing so this piece ties in perfectly with the other teal and turquoise accents.
