It’s All About Texture

When you’re choosing linens for your bed, the feel of the fabric is at least as important as the look of it. And if you’ve selected a tone-on-tone ensemble, such as our favorite, the all white luxury bedding look, layering on several different textures can mean the difference between plain and boring or sophisticated and refined.

Our collection of full size bedding is up for the challenge. We have a variety of textures to choose from, including pique, sateen, linen, percale, jacquard, and of course, our signature matelassé coverlet line. Each new texture and fabric adds interest and depth to the design of your luxury bedding. And since our palette of soft neutral colors are chosen to perfectly compliment one another, you can mix and match to your heart’s content and create a look that is spectacularly and uniquely your own.

How to Build Your Dream Bed

While you could just run to your nearest big box store and grab one of those all-in-one bedding ensembles off a shelf, there’s a better way. If you want bedding that feels as amazing as it looks, and reflects your personal taste on every layer and every pillow, there’s no substitute for the DIY approach. But if you’re not familiar with shopping for bedding this way, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Don’t worry! With our collection, creating a look that’s yours alone is easier than you think.

It all starts with sheets. Or a quilted coverlet. Or a duvet cover. Whichever piece of bedding grabs your attention the most is a worthy candidate to build your look around. But we recommend sheets. Because they’re the bedding that comes into contact with your skin the most, it’s crucial that you get the feel just right. Pick a sheet set or select separate full size fitted bedding, single flat sheet, and luxury pillowcases. But pay particular attention to the weave so you get sheets that make you glad to turn in each night.

Next, pick a duvet cover. With as many different looks as we have available, you’re sure to find one that speaks to you. And a duvet cover is an excellent way to select the look of bedding you want to build around. Once you have it picked out, find some matching pillow shams, then add in a full size coverlet, full size bed skirt, and maybe even a full size cotton blanket for those extra chilly nights. And remember, don’t be afraid to play with textures to create a look you’ll cherish for years.

This is the Peacock Alley way. This is life. Well lived.
